With the best breeze for the lake blowing at 15knots from the east the low cloud and drizzle did little to dampen the spirits. With 9 boats competing local crew Brian Jones and Philip Stone got off to a good start and led the way in their brand new FRP Mk4.

Tracy Amos, Nick Smith and Steve Wroe were all out for the lead, but a capsize put Nick 1 st and Tracy 3 rd . Race 2 had Brian over the line trying to emulate his previous start and the fleet a lot closer having come to grips with the local conditions.

This time it was Tracy leading Nick over the line, so all to fight for in race 3. At the shorten course flag Tracy and Keith were just in front but some hard work on the beat paid off and Nick and Hannah crossed the line first by a short head. Steve and Carmela were third in their borrowed boat, and Brian was a consistent 4 th in the all new FRP Mk 4. John Green and Sarah Stone in their nicely restored dinghy sailed well to take the non Spinnaker trophy.
