11th - 17th August 2007

The Royal Anglesey Yacht Club, Beaumaris

What are the Nationals?: The main event in the Miracle calendar - 10 races across the week, (8 to count). Also held during the week are the youth and junior championships, and single-hander, crew and non-spinnaker competitions. All levels of ability are welcome.

Location: On the south-east corner of Anglesey, Wales, the town overlooks Conwy Bay.

Accomodation:  Camping is available at Kingsbridge Caravan Park, in Llanfaes, around a mile away from the sailing club. This is where many of the fleet stayed at the last nationals in Beaumaris, and is located in an AONB.

More information can be found at -  www.kingsbridgecaravanpark.co.uk

Food / Entertainment: Details coming soon..

More information: Come and join the Miracles for a week of sailing and socialising - there's something for everyone! There is the chance to race against and talk to some of the country's top Miracle sailers and pick up tips, and there'll always be another boat at your level to provide some competition during races! Outside of sailing there are also a number of social events, which in the past have included talks from top sailing coaches, quiz nights and bbqs. The beautiful area around Beaumaris also offers many activities for the family - more information available soon. To finish the week there is the prize-giving, where even beginners can walk away with a prize!

A 'buddy' system is also now run during the week, teaming more experienced crews up with less experienced - this has proved a great way of meeting new people and trading racing tips (plus it's fun to sometimes find yourself ahead of your supposedly better 'buddy' during a race!).

Competitors are reminded and advised to arrive at the Nationals with boats and sails measured and approved (including buoyancy) . The Association cannot guarantee the availability of suitable measurers, equipment or time to carry out this procedure.

Competitors are also advised that an anchor will be required to compete in this event - we don't want anyone drifting off to Ireland mid-race!

Please contact Ian Downs if you plan to attend
(it will help us get the catering right!)

Sailing out at the 2004 Nationals at Beaumaris - Contrary to popular opinion, it doesn't always rain in Wales!
