Killington Lake Sailing Club

The Event : A one day event, with three races. Briefing at 10am, with the first race at 11am. Two Races to Count

Entry fee: £8 per dinghy.

Why not make this a two day event by visiting Thornton Steward the previous day (it's only 40 miles away)

About the Club: Killington Lake is located in the SE Lake District, near Kendal. The lake is about 40 Ha. and is a header reservoir for the Lancaster-Kendal canal. The club has a dinghy park with space for c.100 dinghies, and a car park.
The clubhouse opened in July 2001 and provides male and female changing facilities and showers.

How to get there: SE Cumbria Just off Junction 37 on the M6. Turn East on the A684, Take 1st turn Right after 1/4 mile. Then 2nd right after 1/2 mile, follow lakeshore to dinghy park

Accommodation: There are no camping facilities at the clubhouse BUT there are plenty nearby in Sedbergh. There is FREE camping though at Thornton Steward who are holding an open meeting on Saturday 30 August – why not join them and make it a two day event!

Food: Hot food, including bacon butties will be on offer from 10am. A vegetarian option will also be available
