Bala Sailing Club

A three day event over the bank holiday weekend, incorporating the Welsh Areas and a cruising event.

5 races over the weekend - 2 races Saturday, 2 races Sunday, 1 race Monday

About the Club: The Club is set on the NE end of Bala Lake giving access to one of the most picturesque sailing waters in Wales. The mainly Southerly winds provide excellent sailing conditions and the well equipped clubhouse and training room make Bala SC one of the most popular sailing venues in the country.

Location: On the south-eastern edge of Snowdonia National Park, around 20 miles west of Llangollen.

Food: For anyone travelling early, the club and bar will be open from the Friday evening.

Accommodation: There are two campsites very close to the sailing club, Pen-y-Bont (closest to the club) and Pen-y-Garth, for tents and caravans - these are just a couple of minutes walk away. There are also numerous hotels and B&Bs in the area - a comprehensive list of these can be found here.
